Learn about the bouddhiste funeral ceremony known as Sukhavati, and how to hold the role of celebrant.

Sukhavati, a practice of deep spiritual friendship, was composed  by Chögyam Trungpa.

Through a short liturgy and the recitation of a mantra, we invoque all our wisdom and compassion to help the deceased person.

This ceremony finishes with a celebration of life.

The program will cover:

-Preparing  the altar for a Sukhavati

-How to welcome the loved ones of the deceased

-Study of the symbolism used in the Sukhavati text (and the conception of life and death in the Buddhist tradition).

-How to communicate this information to non-Buddhists

An actual Sukhavati will take place. It may be offered to people who have recently died.

An opportunity to explore questions will follow, including how to collaborate and  skillfully  bring together the elements so that a true Sukhavati can occur.

She has accompanied several people to the end of their lives, mainly young people, and  created and directed the workshop “A Year to Live”, a contemplation of life and the death it includes,  for 14 years.
